The Ukrainian Defense Ministry advises Ukrainians and foreigners to refrain from visiting the annexed Crimea unless absolutely necessary.
This was said by speaker of the Defense Ministry Oleksandr Motuzjanik at a briefing, commenting on the situation with the detention of the so-called “Ukrainian subversives” in Crimea.
“We call on the citizens of Ukraine, as well as of other States to carefully weigh all pros and cons to refrain from visiting the occupied territories of Ukraine unless it is absolutely necessary,” said the press officer.
As a reminder, the 10th of November the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia has announced detention of a Ukrainian “subversive and terrorist group” in Sevastopol.
The FSB already stated about a detention of “Ukrainian saboteurs” who had allegedly prepared attacks in Crimea in August. One of the appointed by the FSB organizers of the attacks was citizen of Ukraine Eugene Panov. The names of two other detainees were announced later. These were builder from Evpatoria (Crimea) Andrey Zahtej and Redvan Suleymanov.
