Opinions of sociological research participants are divided almost evenly between support and condemnation of the blockade of the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.
The survey results were revealed by the Razumkov Centre experts.
So, 38% and 37% of the respondents positively and negatively rated the food blockade, 40% and 37% — the energy blockade of Crimea.
The food blockade of Crimea is supported by the majority of the respondents in the western and the central part of Ukraine (59% and 44%) and is not supported in the southern (40%), the eastern (58%) and in the Donbass region (48%).
The results on the energy blockade are almost the same: it is supported in the west (62%) and in the centre (47%), and is not supported in the south (40%), the east (57%) and the Donbass region (49%).
According to the sociologists, this shows that using radical measures in relations with the occupied territories without a detailed explanation of the State strategy can become a source of internal tension in the society.
The study was carried out by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center on December 11-23, 2015 in all regions of Ukraine except Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. 10071 respondents over 18 years old were interrogated. The theoretical error is 1%.
