Ukraine will erect a monument to Crimean volunteers

A monument to the 17 Crimeans from the Ukrainian volunteer battalions who fell in the battles for national independence and integrity of Ukraine in 2014-2016 will be erected in the Kherson region of Ukraine.

This was told by the head of the “Heroica” Charity Initiative Pavlo Podobed.

Oleg Sobchenko from Korsun-Shevchenkovski became the sculptor of the monument. Recently Oleg was a participant of the ATO.

The Monument to the Crimeans fallen for freedom of Ukraine is planned to be erected in the village of Preobrazhenka in the Kherson region, near the highway linking the mainland Ukraine with the occupied peninsula.
