Ukraine prepares personal sanctions against 1.5 thousand organizers of the election in Crimea

Personal sanctions can be applied against the organizers of the elections to the State Duma, held on the annexed territory of Crimea.

The Ministry for the Temporarily Occupied Territories prepares a list of individuals to submit it for consideration of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

A Communique of the Ministry states that 33 persons have been currently identified involved in the elections, but the sanctions can be generally applied against about 1.5 thousand people.

Earlier, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea within the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings on the fact of registration candidates to the State Duma of the Russian Federation representatives of the annexed Crimea.
