The Ukraine Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnik has posted in Twitter on the Ukrainian note to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Germany due to the visit of the Youth Wing President of the “Alternative for Germany” party Markus Fromer and this party MEP Markus Pretzel to the annexed Crimea.

“We have sent a note of protest to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Germany due to the illegal visit of German politicians to Crimea,” he wrote.

“The illegal visit to Crimea is not a trivial matter, but a serious crime,” the Ambassador was quoted by Spiegel.

Melnik has stressed that the German Federal Government should “take all necessary steps to prevent such violations of the Ukrainian legislation in the future.”

As reported, the MEPs Markus Pretzel (Germany) and Jaromír Kohliček (Czech Republic), as well as the Austrian Parliament deputies arrived to the annexed Crimea to take part in the Yalta Economic Forum on April 14.
