Vinnitsa local activists demand Vinnitsa region National Police Chief Anton Shevtsov dismissal during the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) verification on charge of separatism.

After a 90-minute picketing of the regional police building, the activists set tires in fire. In that way they responded to the head office’s refusal to come out to people. The firemen stopped the flame, but there was strong smoke for some time.

Earlier a scandal around the newly appointed Chief of the national police in the Vinnitsa region Lieutenant Colonel Anton Shevtsov started in Vinnitsa. The local “Avtomaidana” activist Taisa Gajda released information that Shevtsov was a native of Sevastopol; moreover, his children were still living in the occupied city. Also she unveiled Shevtsov and his wife’s pro-Russian statements in social networks.

Lieutenant Colonel Shevtsov was appointed Chief of the National Police in the Vinnitsa region at the end of January this year.
