There are 24 political prisoners in Crimea

Nowadays, there are 24 political prisoners, 16 missing persons and 10 dead activists on the territory of Crimea. This was reported by the First Deputy Minister of information policy of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar.

“The first and the foremost testimony to the repressive policies of Russia against Crimean Tatars on the territory of Crimea is the fact that nowadays there are 24 political prisoners, 16 missing persons and 10 dead, among them 18 political prisoners, 10 missing and 7 dead are the Crimean Tatars,” said Dzheppar.

According to her, the illegal actions of “law enforcement authorities” of Crimea such as detention, fines, interrogations and searches have become a constant formula to prosecute people for political reasons.
