The OSCE has not yet decided whether to send observers to Crimea

The head of the Observer Mission of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Jan Petersen, failed to answer the question, whether the Organization’s experts would go to Crimea to observe the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

“We are still working on where to send observers. So at the moment I will not answer this question in detail,” he said

Also Petersen leaved unanswered the question about the attitude of the Mission to the possibility of monitoring in Crimea, as well as about the future status of MPs elected in Crimea from the viewpoint of the Mission. “I repeat once again, that the plan of the Mission is under development at the moment,” he repeated.
