The number of Crimean applicants registered to participate the external independent testing (EIT) for admission to universities has increased in three times in the Kherson region of Ukraine.
199 people were in for EIT in 2016, whereas only 62 pupils decided to continue the Ukrainian education last year.
This was said by the educational expert analyst of the Civic Education Center “Almenda” Oleg Okhredko citing the materials of the regional Department of education.
The expert noted that there were several factors of increased interest in education among Crimeans. One of them is non-recognition of diplomas issued by the Russian institutions of higher education in Crimea.
