Local providers are blocking the independent Internet resource News from Crimea (www.sobytiya.info) on the territory of the peninsula.
Users started informing the editor of the “News from Crimea” Portal of blocking the website in the territory of the peninsula on August 2 in the morning. Currently, subscribers of most Crimean Internet access providers can access the website only by using proxy avoidance programs. When trying to directly get in the website, users receive a message: “access to the resource is limited.”
In the same time News from Crimea is not in the blocked websites list on the official portal of the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media. The website is available on the territory of Russia, and it means that access is blocked not by the Russian but by the Crimean authorities.
