The Crimean Tatar people Mejlis Chairman Deputy Nariman Dzelyal says the “Supreme Court of Crimea” decision to clamp down the Mejlis has not yet affected the life of the Crimean Tatars.
“There are no changes for the present and it’s no reasons to be in for them in the near future. As one of the journalists said very essentially “the authorities are granted a license to hunt.” It means that there is a possibility to associate all undesirable persons in any way with the Mejlis in the future and exercise control over them at the level of criminal legislation,” he said.
After reading the Court decision the Mejlis is going to appeal.
As a reminder, the “Supreme Court of Crimea” satisfied the Procurator’s lawsuit to clamp down the Crimean Tatar people Mejlis on April 26. The decision can be appealed within one month.
