Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Russia had never had any territorial ambitions, and the annexation of Crimea had allegedly been a “reflection of the will” of the people, inhabiting the peninsula.
He said this in an interview to NBC.
“Russia has never had any territorial ambitions,” insists Peskov.
“We have President Putin’s plan geographic, which promotes integration mechanisms on the territory of the former USSR. It aims to create a space for economic cooperation and predictability. This is the essence of the plan but not grabbing someone’s territory,” said the Russian President’s Press Secretary answering the question whether Russia has any geographical plan to seize territories.
