The flow of passengers from Russia to Crimea has almost stopped

During May-July this year, i.e. since the beginning of the holiday season, the Russian airlines had carried 1.97 million passengers to Crimea and back. It is just 3.4% more than during the same period last year.

The last year was characterized by increased passenger traffic from Russia to the peninsula. During May-July 2015 the passenger traffic doubled to 1.91 million in comparison with the relevant period of 2014.

“Thus, the growth of passenger flow to the peninsula has considerably decreased, more precisely, has almost stopped in 2016,” writes

Earlier the Federal Air Transport Agency predicted that before the end of this year the passenger traffic to the peninsula would be about 5.5 million people or 10% more than in 2015.
