The “Energy Bridge” in Crimea has reduced its capacity

The power capacity of the “Energy Bridge”, which supplies Crimea with electricity from Russia, has reduced from the planned 800 Mw to the present 720 Mw. In this regard, today all the available gas turbine stations have been turned on in Crimea.

This was reported by the Minister of fuel and energetics of Crimea Svetlana Borodulina at a press-conference.

“The power, transmitted through the “Energy Bridge”, is below the promised level and comes to about 720 megawatts. All ten mobile gas turbine power plants, that rescued us before, are in use. This is very important, although today we have not the highest peaks in consumption,” noted the Minister.

The first two lines of the “Energy Bridge” from the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation to Crimea with the capacity of 400 Mw were put into operation in December last year. The third line of 200 Mw — on April 14, and the launch of the fourth line (also 200 Mw) occurred on May11 this year.
