The service utility workers of Simferopol put out the flowers brought by the Crimeans to the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko monument on the occasion of the 202-d anniversary of the birth of the poet on March 9.
Crimean journalist Alexander Pol′chenko posted this information in Facebook.
According to him, a woman-street cleaner put out the flowers from the pedestal and said that she was doing this on her bosses’ order.
“I’m just a subordinate employee. I have not thrown them out,” said the employee of the service utility, responding to the blames in her moral taint.
At the insistence of the Crimeans gathered at the monument the woman opened the makeshift barrack and gave the flowers back, which they laid again at the pedestal of the monument.
