Elderly migrants from the Russian Far East have claimed compensation for their resettling in Alushta, Crimea.
According to the press-service of the “Prosecutor’s Office of Crimea”, a couple of retirees moved from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on accommodation in Alushta. On the basis of the law on State guarantees and compensation for persons working and living in the Far North and similar areas, the new settlers have filed application to the City Department of the Pension Fund on 150 thousand rubles of compensation for their new residence accommodation. But they were denied.
The city Prosecutor applied to the court to oblige the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in Alushta to offset the claimants’ expenses for their move.
The City Court of Alushta met the Prosecutor’s claims and ordered to pay compensation to the pensioners.
