SBU detains the battalion “Crimea” ex-commander

The head of the civilian corps “Azov- Crimea”, one of the organizers of the blockade of Crimea, the former Commander of the volunteer battalion “Crimea” Stanislav Krasnov was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on the night of February 28.
They posted a message on Krasnov’s page in Facebook, citing information from his mother.
According to the post the detention occurred not far from the village of Chubinskoye in Kiev oblast.
An activist Oksana Shelest was detained together with Krasnov too.
Krasnov is pre-accused of illegal keeping of weapons.
As previously reported on the site of the Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office the detentions and searches took place in the residence of the members of the battalion “Crimea”. According to the prosecutors, more than 20 units of combat and traumatic weapons, ammunition and drugs were seized.
