Today the Supreme Court of Russia has upheld the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev’s ban to visit Crimea.

“The judicial Board has decided to uphold the decision of the Moscow City Court and to dismiss the appeal of Dzhemilev’s defense,” said the decision of the Court.

The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia forbade Dzhemilev to enter Crimea in May 2014. The Deputy’s defense tried to challenge this decision in the Moscow City Court, but was refused. Then the complaint was filed in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
