Russian occupants take to pieces the Ukrainian Naval ships, captured after the annexation of the peninsula.

According to the information of the General Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the stolen units and equipment are used to repair ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

“Russian occupants rob the Ukrainian ships seized in Crimea. The cutbacks to funding and the logistics problems of the Russian Black Sea Fleet have stalled the repair and maintenance activities planned for 2016. The Russian Black Sea Fleet Command attempts to compensate the lack of necessary spare parts by dismantling the units and equipment from the Navy ships of Ukraine captured during the annexation of Crimea,” said the GUR.

According to the information of the Intelligence, in particular, to repair the ASW corvette Yeisk the 13th Ship Repair Yard of Sevastopol uses the units taken from the Ukrainian corvette Ternopil, captured during an assault of Russian militaries on March 20, 2014 on the berth in the Sevastopol Bay.

As a reminder, Russia started returning Ukraine the ships captured after the annexation of Crimea, but the process was stopped in June 2014.
