Russia starts checking the combat readiness of its troops in Crimea

Today, the 2nd of March, about 3 thousand Russian servicemen from the military units of Crimea and the Northern Caucasus have been alerted for training under a surprise operability test.

It is reported by the Press-Service of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation.

“Today, several troops and units stationed in Karachaevo-Cherkessia, Chechnya, Dagestan and Crimea have been alerted for surprise training in accordance with the decision of Commander of the Southern Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Dvornikov,” said the statement.

About 3 thousand militaries and more than 1 thousand pieces of military hardware will take part in the training.
