Russia says that most Crimean Tatars support Putin

According to a sociological research, conducted by the Federal Agency for Nationalities (FAN) of Russia, more than 60 % of Crimean Tatars allegedly welcome Russian President Vladimir Putin’s activities.

“The majority of Crimean Tatars — 61% support Russian President Vladimir Putin. About a third of them — 31% state their better attitude towards the head of the country,” states the Agency.

At that the Agency reports that 61% of respondents do not welcome the policy of Ukraine. 71% of respondents are against the food and energy blockade of Crimea.

“At the same time, 13% of those surveyed still support Ukraine and 2% wait for help. Only 7% constitute themselves citizens of that country while 46% — citizens of Russia,” noted the FAN.
