The press-service of the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation has reported that a small missile ship is planned to be built at the “More” (“Sea”) shipyard in Feodosiya.
“Project “22800” small missile ship will be laid down on the “More” shipyard in Feodosiya on May 10. The ship is named “Storm” by the order of the RF Navy Commander-in-Chief,” said the statement.
As also reported the ship will be about 800 tons of deadweight and can reach speed of over 30 knots. It will be equipped with a high-precision missile complex and modern artillery complexes. The ship will be able to perform tasks in the maritime zone at a distance around 3000 miles from bases.
The representatives of the General command of the Russian Navy will take part in the laying down ceremony on May 10.
