Russia intends to cut down on expense of Crimea


The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation proposes to cut 3.5 billion rubles in funding the federal target program for the development of Crimea and Sevastopol till 2020.

A corresponding draft regulation was posted on the official Portal of legal information.

According to the document, the following budget projects shall be excluded from the program:

-226.48 million for the Kerch bridge construction. “Funds are excluded from resettlement compensation for residential houses in Kerch, which are on the bridge construction site,” said the Ministry;

-300 million rubles for air traffic reconstruction and flight radio support;

In addition, the costs for banking supervision during implementation, construction control and technical supervision are excluded too as well as for construction of a multifunctional rescue tug.

The Crimea development program 2020 foresees investments of almost 1 trillion rubles, 95% of which is the federal budget funds of Russia.
