Russia has redeployed paratroopers fought in Donbas to Crimea

Additional units of the RF airborne troops from the 76th Assault Division (Pskov) and 56 Separate Assault Brigade (Kamyshin, Volgograd oblast) have been deployed on the territory of Crimea with military transport aircraft.

According to the Chief of the intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, those units have been participating in the combat activities on the territory of Donbas in Ukraine.

In addition, a Marine combined unit of the Caspian Flotilla arrived to the Crimean sea range Opuk on September 4.

It was earlier reported that the active phase of strategic command-staff exercises of the Russian Federation armed forces “Caucasus-2016” had started.
