The Russian Government deferred the beginning of temporary operation of the railway bridge across the Kerch Strait to December 1, 2019.
This is stated in a document published on the official Internet-portal of legal information.
Earlier it was expected that the opening of the vehicular traffic across the bridge in operation and the beginning of the temporary operation of the railway line in December 2018.
In early June, Forbes reported that the payment of funds for the construction of the bridge to Crimea was delayed due to bureaucratic procedures. In 2015 the company-contractor “Strojgazmontazh” was transferred 48.9 billion rubles, and another 65.4 billion rubles was planned for 2016.
The total construction cost stated by the Government is 228.3 billion rubles.
