According to the Russian newspaper “Gazeta.ru”, the “Prosecutor” of Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya’s nomination of candidate to deputies of the State Duma of Russia is due to many questions to her from the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.
“They will be only happy in Crimea if Poklonskaya becomes deputy of the State Duma and moves to Moscow. She has long been behaving here as a federal politician, but not the Prosecutor, satisfied with the weird promotions. Everyone remembers, as she walked with a portrait of Nicholas II. Meanwhile, there are a lot of complaints about local prosecutors. Poklonskaya is not able to call them down, scandals have already reached the Crimean “premiere” Aksenov and the Prosecutor General of Russia Chayka, but they were kept on the backburner,” writes the newspaper.
Another source of the newspaper said that recently an internal inspection of the General Prosecutor’s Office had taken place in the Crimean Prosecutor’s Office, which resulted questions from the Feds. However, Poklonskaya was not reprimanded personally.
As a reminder, Poklonskaya was included in party lists of candidates to the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the ruling party “United Russia”.
