The Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Crimea Remzi Ilyasov argues that the Crimean Tatars will form a new representative body which job will be to “address the Crimean Tatar people problems and development on the historical motherland in Crimea”.

According to Ilyasov, the public and religious leaders decided to establish a special National Commission to prepare the National Congress which is expected to take place in November-December this year.

“At the Congress we will choose a collegiate representative body, one can call it as one desires, which will show the authority the Crimean Tatars’ problems to jointly resolve them,” said Ilyasov.

In addition, Ilyasov said that the previous representative body of the Crimean Tatar people was “discredited by its leaders”.

As it was reported the “Supreme Court of Crimea” recognized the Crimean Tatar people Mejlis an extremist organization and clamp it down in Russia on April 26.
