Nostalgia for Ukraine beats the separatist defected to Crimea

Former Verkhovna Rada Deputy Oleg Tsarev, currently residing in the annexed Crimea, longs for Ukraine.

This was reported by journalist of the Russian Rain TV Channel Sergey Erzhenkov.

“It seems to me that now he feels nostalgic. He understands almost everything about the Russian politics. Oleg Tsarev declared his refusal to join the Communist Party or the Fair Russia. He said that this was not a real political struggle. He said that the real policy was in Ukraine, where people were ready to kill each other for their principles. He said he was envious when he knew that I was going to visit Kyiv,” said Erzhenkov.

According to the journalist, Tsarev spends most of the time in Crimea, where he has real estate.

As a reminder, Tsarev supported the annexation of Crimea and the separation of Donbass from Ukraine as well as was actively involved in the setup of the separatist faux states in the Eastern Ukraine. The General Prosecutor of Ukraine started the procedure of Tsarev’s conviction in absentia in November 2015. The bill of indictment was approved and sent to the Court on March 25, 2016.

Living in exile, or living in a Ukrainian slammer convicted of treason. That’s some choice. I guess he’s staying in exile.
