NATO reiterates about its not-recognition of the annexation of Crimea

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has reiterated that the annexation of Crimea by Russia contradict the values of the Alliance.

“It would be to go against the NATO’s values and the NATO’s unambiguous decisions to recognize, for example, the annexation of Crimea,” he said in an interview to the BBC.

Former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen called on US President Donald Trump not to lift sanctions against Russia. He stressed that Russian President Vladimir Putin was constantly trying to avoid responsibility for the annexation of Crimea and the Eastern part of Ukraine.
