The aim of the people mass detention on the markets of Simferopol on April 6 was to create a database for Russian enforcers. This was announced by Crimean lawyer Jean Zapruta.

In his opinion, sales outlets are good for mass detentions. “Where else so many people of Caucasian nationality can be found? Certainly, they can be on markets only. The challenge is to check as many people as possible,” he added.

According to the lawyer, the total number of detainees is up to 60 people on April 6 in Simferopol. “They are ordinary market traders and visitors. People with Russian passports were almost immediately released. But foreigners were checked much longer,” he said.

As a reminder, Russian enforcers made an all-out check of documents and several detentions on the urban markets of Simferopol on April 6.
