Journalists found out who had paid for the visit of French deputies to Crimea

The visit of French parliamentarians to the annexed Crimea was financed by the Russian Peace Foundation.

Alexei Venediktov, Editor-in-Chief of the Echo of Moscow radio station told about this in his Twitter.

According to Venediktov, Leonid Slutsky, Deputy of the State Duma of Russia from the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), is the Chairman of the Foundation.

“A couple of calls and I have found out. The visit of the French parliamentarian delegation to Crimea was financed by the Russian Peace Foundation (Slutsky, Deputy of the State Duma from the LDPR, is the Chairman),” the Editor-in-Chief shared the information.

As a reminder, Crimea was visited on a three-day visit by a delegation of French parliamentarians led by Deputy of the National Assembly, former Transport Minister of France Thierry Mariani. During the visit the members of the delegation made a number of statements in tune with the thesis of the Kremlin propaganda on Crimea.
