Italians want to desalinate water in Crimea


An Italian company explores the possibility to set up a sea water purification and desalination business in Crimea.

This was announced by the Yalta International Economic Forum Foundation, which hosted a visit of Italian politicians and businessmen to Crimea.

So, Fabio Bosio the owner of Brescia, a company specializing in water purification, said that he was ready to propose Crimea desalination technologies on the Crimean business meeting. A water purification station, built on his future project, will be able to give the Crimean peninsula electricity, drinking water and water for crop irrigation.

“Our innovative and patented technology brings more profit than the previously used methods of desalination, as well as let to produce drinking and technical water,” said the Italian businessman.

As a reminder, representatives of some Regional Councils and businesses from Italy paid a three-day visit to Crimea. The delegation consisted of 18 representatives from five regions of Italy: Veneto, Liguria, Lombardy, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna. All of them are from the Lega Nord political party.

The visit was organized by the Yalta International Economic Forum and the “Government” of Crimea.
