Human rights activists have compiled a list of those persons involved in torture, illegal imprisonment and political persecution of inhabitants of the annexed Crimea.
This was informed about by head of the Crimean Human Rights Group Olga Skrypnyk.
“We have named it the list of Sentsov-Chijgoz for it shows the persecution of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars. The list contains both names of Ukrainian and Russian citizens involved in torture, illegal imprisonment and political persecution of at least forty people. The FSB’s officers are in the list, some of them are former SBU’s employees,” said Skrypnyk.
However, she noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, which must then give the lists to the Western colleagues, “does not hear” the human rights defenders. She expressed the hope about a meeting to be held in early February with participation of representatives of the Ministry, where the activists will be able to provide the Ministry with the list.
Also, according to Skrypnyk’s information there is a separate list of those involved in persecution of journalists in Crimea. This list includes several dozen people.
