Citizens of Ukraine Yevgeny Panov and Andrey Zahtej, accused by Russian security forces of preparing terrorist attacks in Crimea, were taken to the Lefortovo remand prison in Moscow.

This information was reported by Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Public Supervisory Commission Eva Merkacheva.

“We were carrying out a routine check of the Lefortovo remand prison when found Panov and Zahtey in one of the cells. After talking with them, we found out that they were transported to Moscow about a week ago. Since then they have been to the Lefortovo,” said Merkacheva.

According to her, both the suspects complain of inhuman treatment and they don’t know why they stay there.

As a reminder, in August this year the FSB state about prevention of terrorist acts in Crimea, allegedly prepared by the Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The FSB also said about liquidation of an intelligence network and detention of intelligence officer Yevgeny Panov on the territory of Crimea.

Later the security officials named another detainee allegedly “saboteur” Andrey Zahtej who was a builder from Evpatoria.
