Homes of Muslims are searched in Crimea

Today Russian security forces have raided homes of Muslims in the townships of Stroganovka and Kamenka in Crimea.

“Now the searches are been well aware in homes of Emile Dzhemadenov, Ajder Saledinov, Uzeyir Abdullayev, Timur Abdullayev and Rustem Ismailov in Stroganovka and Kamenka,” said activist Zaire Smedlyaev.

Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov added that homes of believing Muslims were raided. “Based on the fact that the homes of Muslims, who have recently returned from the Hajj (pilgrimage), it will be another Hizb ut-Tahrir case!” he said.

Later the Russian law-enforcers explained that the searches were “actions to eliminate the Crimean cell of Hizb ut-Tahrir, banned in Russia”.

The law-enforcement officials confirmed the five searches in homes of allegedly leaders and active members of Hizb ut-Tahrir.
