Deputies of the City Council of Yalta (Crimea) set the Federal Security Service (FSB) after lawyer Yury Formus for his pro-Ukrainian position.
The text of the document was published by the Crimean human rights group. Addressing the FSB the Deputies say that Formus does not support the annexation of Crimea by Russia and refer to his page on Facebook. “We would like to draw your attention to the fact that Formus denies reunification of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol with the Russian Federation and supports to return of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to the State of Ukraine, as evidenced by the content of his page on Facebook,” said the denunciation.
The leader of the Crimean human rights group Olga Skripnik believes that “many norms of the Russian legislation are very vague, that allows persecuting people on political, economic or other grounds”.
