Expert: the annexation of Crimea has made Russians poorer

According to President of the Economic Analysis Institute Andrey Illarionov the living social standard of Russians has lowered since the annexation of Crimea.

“It is no coincidence that this crisis, this recession and this decline of individual wealth have begun since April 2014. Everything has started since the annexation of Crimea on March 18, the declaration of the national holiday and yelling “Crimea is ours”. Maybe nowadays the wealth does not decline too quickly, but it still is at the bottom and in stagnation,” said Illarionov on the airwaves of the Echo of Moscow.
