People’s Deputy of Ukraine, former leader of the “Right Sector” Dmitro Jarosz said that it was clear that the Russian authorities were preparing to annex Crimea in 2009.
According to Jarosz, that time he often traveled all over Ukraine as a member of one of the public organizations.
“Then, as long ago as 2009, the annexation of Crimea was obvious. I frequently traveled all over Ukraine because our chapters were everywhere. But unfortunately they were not so strong, we were no more than a public organization. But we watched Russia’s attempts to swing the situation, recruiting agents in power structures and so on. It was hard to escape the conclusion: there will be a war. Unfortunately, it’s happened,” he said in an interview.
