Deputy Head of the Crimean Tatar people Mejlis released from the mental hospital

Today, the 7th of September, Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Tatar people Mejlis Ilmi Umerov has been released from the psychiatric hospital, where he underwent an involuntary examinations.

This was reported by journalist Ibrahim Umerov.

“Ilmi Umerov has been released from the psychiatric hospital after three weeks of an involuntary illegal “examinations”,” he wrote on his page on Facebook.

As a reminder, on August 18 the FSB of Russia forcibly removed Deputy Head of the Crimean Tatar people Mejlis Ilmi Umerov from a hospital in Simferopol, where he was treated, for a psychiatric examination.

Previously, Umerov was charged with the “public calls for violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation”.
