Crimean Tatars were beaten by Russian soldiers in Crimea

A mass brawl between locals and Russian soldiers has occurred in the Crimean city of Armyansk.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry reports the incident took place on January 30 in one of the cafes of Armyansk.

“Atrocities and illegal actions of Russian soldiery against the civilian population of the temporarily occupied Crimea continue. A mass brawl involving 27 militaries from the 51st Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division (Tula, Russia), who went AWOL, and local residents took place in one of the cafes of Armyansk on January30,” said a statement of the Intelligence.

According to the Intelligence, the conflict was provoked by the Russian soldiers who, being under the influence of alcohol, were rude to the cafe’s staff and humiliated visitors of Tatar nationality.

As a reminder, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine has already reported about gross violations of military discipline, intemperance and clashes with locals committed by the Russian occupation troops in Crimea.
