According to Chairman of the Committee on Budgetary Policies of the “State Council” of Crimea Igor Lukashev, the region has completely exhausted the resources for its further development.
“Crimea needs electricity, one energy bridge is not enough to create a basis for economic development. The issues of water supply demand both thoughtful and quick decisions. Networks, roads — everything needs to be modernized. In addition, we are under sanctions and cannot even deliver and maintain equipment. There is a problem with credit resources, which also prevents business from developing,” told Lukashev to reporters.
He also admitted that the delivery of goods by the ferry influenced commodity prices which were not cheap.
“Certainly, there is some progress, but there are still a lot of “sore spots”,” concluded Lukashev.
