The Court of Simferopol has arrested for two months five of the Crimean Tatars, detained on October 12 after their homes had been searched.

This was stated by lawyer Emil Kurbedinov.

“A lot of relatives and simply not indifferent people were at trial, when a former Ukrainian judge arrested the five Crimean Tatars, Crimean Muslims. Apart from the smallest judgment hall, big enough three persons tops, the judge ignored the Human Rights Convention and left detainee Teymur Abdullayev handcuffed and in an iron cage, and then drove his mother crying. The judge’s decision and actions will be challenged,” told Kurbedinov.

As reported by the News from Crimea website, Russian security forces searched houses of the Crimean Tatar people in the townships of Stroganovka and Kamenka, located in the suburb of Simferopol, on October 12. The searches resulted in detention of five people.
