The Prosecutor of Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya called the ban “a matter of the national security.”
“The organizers of such drug festivals must understand that nobody will be allowed to freely hold such activities. It is a matter of the national security and the younger generation’s health, which must be free from addictions, primarily. The State is not against various youth activities, but everything must be within the law,” said Poklonskaya.
As a reminder, the Kazantip Festival became famous in the former USSR. They played Club, electronic music, DJs, musicians and dance groups from all over the world performed at the annual events. The Festival had been held till 2013. After the annexation of Crimea the organizers decided to rename it Befooz.
