The Russian authorities want to exchange the people’s Deputy of Ukraine Nadezda Savchenko, judged in Russia on a fabricated criminal case, on an overhead road to the annexed Crimea.

Advisor to the Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Yuri Tandit reported this in his interview with the “Novaya Gazeta”.

“Yes, we know that Moscow would like to get more. For example they are interested in an overhead road from Rostov in Crimea. I was openly told about this by a man close to the Kremlin. I said that we were interested in the release of all hostages. And he replied: “Well, then you must meet our interests too. We need a stable communication with Crimea to freely transport goods and passengers there,” he said.

“I told him that it was in the East only where they practiced to exchange the Princess for half of the Kingdom. It is not correct to put the question in this way. The whole international community appeals to set Nadezda free”, added the SBU’s adviser.

Tandit noted that Ukraine is ready for any compromises in the question of Savchenko’s release.
