The Central District Court of Simferopol decided to penalize the Crimean activist Vel′dar Shukurdjiev for a photograph with the flag of Ukraine on it.
The activist posted this information on his page in Facebook.
“According to the Court decision I must pay a penalty of 10 thousand rubles. I will appeal, but, despite the decision, I have no intentions of paying. And I don’t want to, because I’m not guilty! I have the right to have photographs with the Ukrainian flag. I do not recognize the Court decision!” wrote Shukurdjiev.
Earlier “Events in Crimea” reported that enforces had detained two activists of the Ukrainian Cultural Center Vel′dar Shukurdjiev and Irina Kopylova in August 2015 in Simferopol. The reason of the detention was their attempt to make photos on Lenin square with the Ukrainian flag.
