A Crimea tours organizer faces a criminal case in Latvia


Latvian Security Police asks the Prosecutor’s Office of the Judicial District of Riga to initiate criminal proceeding against the person who organized trips to Crimea.

“The criminal case is initiated on violation of the EU prohibition to provide service directly related to tourism activities in Crimea and Sevastopol,” Latvian mass media inform.

According to them, the Security Police requests to initiate criminal proceedings against one individual for intentional violation of the regulatory acts of Latvia on the EU legislation and other international organizations sanctions implementation. Personal information of the suspect is not reported.

Earlier, the Security Police searched the service provider premises related to tourism in Crimea and Sevastopol.
